Holidays

 

Holidays are always very busy times for pet sitters. We work long hours to take care of all our Clients’ households. While many corporations pay their employees double and a half time for working holidays, we are tiny and work with much thinner margins.

 

Our holiday surcharge is 50% of your current rate. It is applied ONLY to visits on the designated holidays and not the entire service period. For example, if your current rate is $15 per visit, on Christmas Day it will be $22.50 per visit.

 

Designated holidays: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter, Bob Dylan’s Birthday (May 24), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.

 

Note: Other than the above designated holidays, there are no surcharges for school or university breaks and vacations.

 

Remember that those holiday and break weeks do book up early and, whenever possible, please reserve as soon as you know your plans.
