Cancellations & Changes

 

• Changes in your schedule will be accommodated whenever possible. We have bonded and insured back-up sitters on staff to help manage short notice changes and additions, however we cannot guarantee availability for short notice change requests.

 

• For drop in visits:                                                                                              

  • Cancellations made 48 hours or less from the first scheduled drop-in visit will forfeit the booking fee.

 

• Changes made 48 hours or less from the first scheduled drop-in visit of a series or during the series that reduce the total number of visits will be charged for one visit.

 

• For regularly scheduled dog walks:                                                               

  • When you email your YAP Pet Portal, call or text us at least three hours before the scheduled walk block, there is no charge.

• Walk and visit blocks are early morning 7am-10 am, midday 11am-2pm, dinnertime 4pm-7pm, bedtime 8pm-10pm.

 

• For overnight stays:                                                                                                                                                               

  • Overnight stay reservations that are cancelled ten (10) days or less from the first scheduled visit may forfeit the booking fee.

                                                                     

• Rescheduling an overnight stay that effectively cancels on short notice may be subject to the above penalty

• Cancelling overnight stays has a much bigger impact on us than cancelling a drop-in visit. A sitter can only stay overnight at one place and may have turned down several potential Clients to take care of your household. It is not usually possible to turn around and refill cancelled overnights on short notice. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and reciprocate it in our caring for your pets and home.

 

• For early return (non-holiday reservations), a 24-hour notice is required or Client will be charged the rate of one visit. After cancellation fees, any remaining balance will be applied as a credit to future pet sitting visits. Credits are valid for 180 days from date of cancellation. No refunds will be given.
